ein bisschen spät;

Oops, I suppose it’s been a while since I posted anything.. I just don’t have time anymore :(

Five weeks, people! Five weeks!

Quick Recap:

We had the Pfingstferien so on Thursday I went with a few friends to Phantasialand, a small amusement park about 30 minutes from Köln. Nothing compared to disneyland but I still enjoyed it.

Saturday I spent in the park because it’s finally SUNNY here!!

Sunday I went to a Kletter Park with my family. It’s a large scale outdoor climbing park. I’ve never seen anything remotely like it in the US. They set up these courses with ropes and tire swings and all sorts of crazy stuff in a forest and you climb around on it. It’s a ton of fun but ohmygod sooooo tiring. I almost died. no joke. Then that night I saw Cirque De Soleil with a friend and we were practically sitting on the stage, that’s how close we were. It was awesome.

Monday I went on a bike ride with my family simply around our little suburb but it was another beautifulll day. I’m in love with the weather right now.

Last weekend I was in Kopenhagen. Despite previously knowing NOTHING about the city, I found it to be a really great city. Would definitely go back there. We were actually only in the city for 12 hours. It was such an intense trip. We left Duisburg at 10pm, drove drove drove until arrived in Kopenhagen at 8am. From there we were left on our own to explore the city; the only requirement being we had to return to the bus at 8pm that night. Then we simply drove all the way back. I arrived back in Köln at 7am the next morning. Extremely tiring but well worth it.

This last wednesday I met with a friend who flies back to Taiwan in two weeks. :( So She and I hung out in the city on Wednesday night and Thursday we met with some others again in the park because this weather is simply too wonderful to pass up.

Friday, Saturday, and today have been a whirlwind of party madness. My hostfather turns 50 today so we’ve had the whole family plus friends and neighbors here. It’s kinda crazy but I’m really enjoying myself. And plus it helps my german. win win !
